God is in the business of doing new things. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” God did not only make you new at the moment of salvation, but He is always bringing forth a newer version of you as you are being conformed to the image of Christ. You are not new and becoming old. You are new and getting newer! Isaiah 43:19 says, “Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Both of these verses say, “behold.” Behold means to look at or put in the center of your vision. Always be looking for God to do something new in your life. He also does these new things in places that you might not expect. For instance, “roads in the wilderness” and “rivers in the desert.” Today, God is doing something new in you and in an unexpected place, like your job, family, or community.
